The only thing I had ever huntd before was a good sale Old Navy or Ross until Saturday. Saturday I hunted me a goose. I have gone to the pond to feed the geese before, but never went out to kill one. This was WAY different. You have to wear camo, water proof boots, a hat, and lots of bug spray. Did you know that from the sky the geese and ducks too can see your eyes?? That's why we had to wear the hats, so they couldn't see our eyes. The funniest part was getting me dressed to go...as you can see from the picures. The pants I wore were Josh's old ones. They have cinches on the sides and we pulled them ALL the way in. And we borrowed some boots from his parents that were a womens size 8 and I wear a 6 1/2...I deff had some clown feet going on.
My only jobs were to remeber the bug spray, and to carry my bucket (to sit on) and my Propell. Josh did the rest..he even had to carry me and my bucket a few times over the water.
We saw one goose, but he was on the ground and Josh said that killing it like that is not very sportsman like. So we came home empty handed. (I was kinda glad...what in the world would I do with a dead goose???)
We had a great time! The best part was spending time with Josh doing something he loves. He was SO excited about me going that he has talked about it all week. And I will deffinitely do it again.

great story!
i didn't know that about the geese and the eyes!
i think you'll have to get some gear of your own--i bet this won't be the last time you go hunting :)
First, to all who have read this post I am very sorry for ALL the misspelling...I wrote this post on Friday right b/f I left work and I was rushing. I think I have fixed the mistakes. And for clarification, I carried a bucket to to sit on NOT a buck. HELLO!!! what was I thinking??? Obviously I wasn't.
I LOVE IT!!! That is so funny! I am glad you had fun. Watch out Aub, he might have you going deer hunting next!
Love ya!
