Let's Flamingle!

A very Happy Birthday party begins with a special birthday girl,

and a crazy Mommy who plans ALL the details 9+ months in advance.

You need a great Daddy who has LOTS of good ideas and enjoys being apart.

Then you need a Cricut and a Sticker maker to make some super cute invites,

and lots of hunting around for just the right decorations.

You MUST have a 'Lyssa who comes to town the week before
the party to keep the crazy Mommy from going insane.

Then you need a HUGE flock of friends to celebrate with.

Some dear old friends.

Some brand new friends.

Some cousins.

Your friend who shares your birthday week.

Some grandparents.

And of course cake!

The sweet frosting to a Happy party is having the Lamb Girls...
Bacca, Tar'line, and Mrs. Lisie

But most of all you need a Heavenly Father who knows how to throw the best parties.
When everything seems to fall apart and you have to move the party from the pool to the park,

you can trust that when He takes aways our cake (or our plans),

He has something more wonderful in store.

Happy 1st Birthday!

It wasn't the 1st birthday I had imagined for her, but in the end it was a sweet day enjoying watching her perfect her walking skills and learn to hold a purse.

Thursday morning began at 1:42AM with our first family stomach bug.  Levi started it and 30 minutes later Mary Kathryn followed.  They alternated every 30 min for 4 hours.

Mary Kathryn was in the bathtub when I said, "Happy Birthday, sweet girl."  She just smiled liked she felt fine and nothing was wrong.

As I climbed the stairs to change bed sheets for the 5th time I regained strength knowing that His mercies are new every morning. There was hope that as soon as the sun rises it would all seem better.

With the morning did come a beautiful breeze we enjoyed while playing in the sandbox.

Levi was very concerned all day about not having cake for Mary Kathryn's party.  His definition of a party IS eating cake.  :)  I told him we would make her a cake when everyone was better.

I was very concerned about having to cancel her party on Saturday if we weren't better.  Thankful everyone's appetite returned by Thursday evening.

Lyssa gives the most fun presents...a new piano!!  It is a gift for them to share, but Levi seems to think this "pan-o" is just for him.

Catching up on Summer fun in June

Our summer began with some very exciting news...baby #3 is on their way! The first two weeks I felt great and from there it's been rather rough.  I had so many fun things planned for our summer...LOTS of swimming, playing outside, projects inside.  But the Lord has chosen a much different summer for us.  It has still been fun, but we have eaten out more in the past 9 weeks than I think we have in Levi's entire life.  One day I came home from the grocery store with Oreos & pineapple.  Needless to say the next day we were all very hungry and probably ended up at Chick-fil-A for lunch and The Fox for dinner.  :)

Many things have "gone out the window", including taking pictures and blogging.  Most days I nap as long as the kids and bed time for all 3 of us is 8:30 SHARP!  I have begin to feel much better and hope to catch up soon.

1st time in the sandbox...took her a few minutes to get the hang of it.

Daddy that suggested we have "TV Dinner" for lunch one rainy day.  Levi was thrilled!

Mary Kathryn learned to climb on the couch...she will stay camped out on there for an hour.

Story Time on Tuesdays has been our favorite summer activity!

We've enjoyed friends coming over.
We are excited that Tucker is having a baby brother, Turner.  :)

There is never a dull moment when these two are together.

Cheers!

Bittersweet, we made the last batch of baby food for Mary Kathryn.

Sweet Caroline has come each week for Babysitting Boot Camp and has patiently endured hard days with Mary Kathryn  as she has gotten 6 teeth this summer.

She has learned that the word "No" means "No" and I really do mean what I say.

Daddy and Levi gave her a lesson on driving cars.
She now has a very authentic "vroom" as she pushes them around.

This is her favorite car to drive, she is fast and she will take off your toes if you don't move.
