Catching up on Summer fun in June

Our summer began with some very exciting news...baby #3 is on their way! The first two weeks I felt great and from there it's been rather rough.  I had so many fun things planned for our summer...LOTS of swimming, playing outside, projects inside.  But the Lord has chosen a much different summer for us.  It has still been fun, but we have eaten out more in the past 9 weeks than I think we have in Levi's entire life.  One day I came home from the grocery store with Oreos & pineapple.  Needless to say the next day we were all very hungry and probably ended up at Chick-fil-A for lunch and The Fox for dinner.  :)

Many things have "gone out the window", including taking pictures and blogging.  Most days I nap as long as the kids and bed time for all 3 of us is 8:30 SHARP!  I have begin to feel much better and hope to catch up soon.

1st time in the sandbox...took her a few minutes to get the hang of it.

Daddy that suggested we have "TV Dinner" for lunch one rainy day.  Levi was thrilled!

Mary Kathryn learned to climb on the couch...she will stay camped out on there for an hour.

Story Time on Tuesdays has been our favorite summer activity!

We've enjoyed friends coming over.
We are excited that Tucker is having a baby brother, Turner.  :)

There is never a dull moment when these two are together.

Cheers!

Bittersweet, we made the last batch of baby food for Mary Kathryn.

Sweet Caroline has come each week for Babysitting Boot Camp and has patiently endured hard days with Mary Kathryn  as she has gotten 6 teeth this summer.

She has learned that the word "No" means "No" and I really do mean what I say.

Daddy and Levi gave her a lesson on driving cars.
She now has a very authentic "vroom" as she pushes them around.

This is her favorite car to drive, she is fast and she will take off your toes if you don't move.

Rock'n out for the big 3-0

I decided a surprise 80's party was the way to go for Josh's 30th birthday.
Josh has the most awesome friends, so

 I knew they'd get into it.
 Josh worked on his cosutme for 2 weeks thinking we were going to a fun summer party at the David and SaraBeth's.  He was shocked when we arrived to find out the party was for him.
Steve & Gloria enjoyed going back to the good 'ole days.
Alisa said she wore something that she ACTUALLY wore in the 80's, and
that the rest of us were wearing the stuff she was NEVER allowed to wear.

What a fun night we had!

We are so blessed for sweet friends who love us and know how to have a good time!

Happy 30th Birthday, Josh!

Psalm 100

Psalm 100

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;

Come before Him with joyful singing.

Know that the Lord Himself is God;

It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving

And His courts with praise.

Give thanks to Him, bless His name.

 For the Lord is good;

His lovingkindness is everlasting

And His faithfulness to all generations.

VBS 2012

This was the 4th year I have had the privledge of being the Bible teacher at VBS. I am thankful for grace and the promise of His Word:

"So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it."
Isaiah 55:11

Levi had a wonderful time with his friends at "CVS"...we worked all week on saying VBS, but it always came out CVS.

Mrs. Britney made tambourines with us!

Each morning I had the privledge of hearing the kids sing praise.
My eyes filled with tears every time they sang this song.
"We are the saints
We are the children
We've been redeemed
We've been forgiven
We are the sons and daughters of our God"

Chocolate Milk

Yesterday we made a trek out to the country to see some Happy Cows.

Happy Cows are Happy because they eat fresh grass all year round.

Happy Cows only make milk after they have a baby.

Happy Cows can live to be 18 years old!  Other cows barely make it to 5.

Each Happy Cow has a special name.

Happy Cows are milked twice a day and give an average of 74 pounds of milk.

Happy Cows make white milk, strawberry milk, buttermilk, and our favorite chocolate milk!!

Happy Cows make for Happy & Healthy Children.

Weekend in the Mountains

We had a fun weekend trip to the mountains with Gigi and Papa.

We read lots of books and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

We shopped...he girls at Gymboree and the boys at Bass Pro.

We had hoped for lots of rest, but Levi didn't feel the need to sleep much.

He was ready to watch Thomas, AGAIN!

We played and laughed.

We ate way too much at the Apple Barn.

We enjoyed the geese and the sunset after dinner.

And went swimming in the big bath tub.
